Having met for two years on a Wednesday morning our Internet Cafe has provided a place of community. Needing to close for a short period we hope to  be re-opening shortly. Please email for details. There are laptops available to use for searching the internet, emails, or using Microsoft Office programs. WI-Fi is free along with printing facilities. We can also provide help and support if needed.

If you just want to call in for a coffee or tea we would be just as pleased to see you.

A story from one of our group

Are you a technophobe? I was, three years ago. Mention the word ‘computer’ and I was ready to blow a fuse! Useless articles…..can’t get their sums right….always troubled with one virus or another…..what’s wrong with the old way of communicating? Honestly, I wanted nothing to do with them. I remembered an old saying, “You can’t teach an old dogs new tricks”. We’ll folks, let me tell you that they have got it all wrong!! It is a lot of old bosh, ‘cos this old dog has proved them absolutely wrong. Oh yes, I admit I went kicking and screaming to my first introduction to a computer. I was not a happy bunny, but I had made a promise to a dear friend and just couldn’t let her down. Well, let me tell you, it was one of the best moves I have ever made. I hadn’t realised how interesting it could be and just how many different things were available to view. I spent my time oooohing and aaaahing in wonder at this new toy and laughing delightedly at the magic of it all. It really is fantastic and you can enjoy the same experience at our Computer Cafe each Wednesday between the hours of 10a.m and 1p.m. Tea and coffee are always available and no pressure is put on you regarding what you wish to learn. Everything is very informal and friendly and I challenge you to ‘give it a go’. I guarantee that you won’t regret it.
